ABOUT
Transforming Systems. Elevating Voices. Sustaining Impact.
IMPACT(FUL) Consulting is a national justice-informed consulting firm led by Dr. Ashley Goldon, a formerly incarcerated scholar, nonprofit executive, and philanthropic strategist. We specialize in supporting justice-impacted leaders, mission-driven organizations, and systems stakeholders through a range of services rooted in equity, evidence, and lived experience.
Our work spans four pillars:
Organizational Health & Financial Strategy
We support justice-impacted leaders in building strong financial infrastructure, sustainable fundraising strategies, and growth plans rooted in mission integrity.
Community-Centered Research & Evaluation
We conduct and review research at the intersection of incarceration and equity, ensuring that studies include — not exploit — the voices of those most impacted. We lead community-based participatory research (CBPR), hold focus groups, and publish original thought leadership, including the forthcoming Reentry Ecology framework.
Philanthropic & Government Advising
We advise philanthropic institutions and public systems on strategy, community engagement, and inclusive program design — helping power holders deepen equity, transparency, and impact in justice-related work.
Policy Education & Advocacy
We collaborate with government stakeholders to educate, advocate, and co-create policy shifts that reflect the insights and needs of impacted communities.
At IMPACT(FUL), we believe that real impact is collective, not extractive — and that justice-impacted leaders deserve more than inspiration. They deserve infrastructure. We're here to help build it.

Mission
To equip justice-impacted leaders and mission-driven institutions with the strategy, research, and infrastructure they need to build power, sustain impact, and innovate systems.
Vision
We are shaping a future where justice-impacted people lead the design, delivery, and direction of social change. We envision communities where those closest to the solution have the tools, resources, and platforms to shape policy, produce knowledge, and exact meaningful change.
Lived Expertise
We honor the deep knowledge that comes from lived experience, not just formal education or titles. Those closest to harm must lead the solutions
Authentic Partnership
We collaborate with clients and communities, not over them. Our work is built on mutual respect, transparency, and shared decision-making.
Community Accountability
Our ultimate accountability is not to funders or systems — it is to the people and communities we serve and come from.
Bold Imagination
We are not here to tweak broken systems — we are here to imagine, design, and build something better.
Integrity Over Optics
We prioritize meaningful change over performative gestures. Our consulting, research, and advocacy are rooted in truth, not trends.
Knowledge Justice
We fight against extractive research practices. We believe impacted people should be researchers, authors, and owners of their own narratives.
Data Driven
We don't guess our way to impact. We prioritize data, research, and proven strategies, ensuring our work is grounded in both lived experience and rigorous evidence. Good intentions aren’t enough — real change demands real proof.
Liberation Through Infrastructure
Sustainability isn’t a luxury — it’s a strategy for liberation. We help build the financial, operational, and leadership structures needed for lasting impact
"Those that are closest to the problem are closest to the solution, but furthest from the power and resources."
